As General Manager of Business Line Urban, driven by the motto “Designing Better Cities and Territories, Engineering a Zero-Carbon Future,” Charles-Edouard focuses on defining strategy, coordinating business development, building partnerships, empowering teams and fostering talents with projects worldwide. In this role, he is in charge of coordinating global Urban activities, spanning across the following segments: Urban Design and Development, Mobility and Transportation, Buildings and Complex Structures as well as Environment and Climate Change.
his particular interests lie at the intersection of cities and urban ecosystems, including ecological transformation (design, finance, built, operation, maintenance of sustainable and better cities); the management of underground infrastructures, including utility tunnels; and the convergence between existing and emerging physical infrastructures (telecoms, digital).
In addition to his role at Tractebel, Charles-Edouard is a lecturer on utility tunnels and sustainable cities at the ITACET Foundation (Foundation for Continuous Education and Training on Tunneling and Underground Space) as well as member of the Scientific Committee at ISOCARP (International Society of City and Regional Planners).
