Mary Mwangi

Mary Mwangi is the Flone Initiative’s Programs Manager; she has been doing program management at Flone Initiative since 2016. During this time, the organization has grown in size, scope and capacity. She has led five research projects that have significantly added to the knowledge base of gender and mobility issues in Kenya. Mary is a co-author of the Flone Initiative “Gender Sensitive Mini-Bus Services and Transport Infrastructure for African Cities Toolkit” in partnership with UN-Habitat. She has over 5 years’ experience in community mobilization, gender mainstreaming, prevention of sexual harassment facilitation, and program management. Mary’s gender articles have been published by URBANET, StopStreetHarassment, What’s Good Network and the Kenyan Abiria Magazine.
