Nous aidons les villes à placer le bien-être au cœur de leurs politiques et de leur planification en créant des espaces de célébration et de partage des connaissances.
Prioriser le bien-être, c’est prioriser les gens. Alors que les gouvernements municipaux adoptent de plus en plus de projets qui reflètent les besoins et les priorités des communautés, les villes sont progressivement transformées en lieux qui répondent aux besoins locaux, améliorant ainsi la qualité de vie dans son ensemble. Les moteurs du bien-être étant souvent liés au lieu et au contexte, notre travail consiste essentiellement à faire progresser le débat sur la définition du bien-être urbain, sa mesure et la manière de le cultiver.
Wellbeing Cities, l’initiative phare de NewCities, a pour objectif d’identifier, d’étudier et de promouvoir des exemples exceptionnels de projets urbains abordant divers défis sous l’angle du bien-être. Depuis 2018, notre prix Wellbeing Cities a récompensé plus de 40 villes dans le monde et rassemblé plus de 1 500 leaders mondiaux et experts urbains de tous les secteurs en ligne et dans notre ville hôte, Montréal, pour faire avancer la discussion sur le bien-être.
Notre nouvelle initiative, Mieux vivre ensemble, gardera le même objectif tout en se concentrant sur les solutions locales et communautaires répondant aux défis rencontrés dans la région du Grand Montréal.
