Responsables de plus de 70% des émissions mondiales de CO2, les villes sont des acteurs essentiels dans le processus de décarbonisation de la planète. Nous avons une occasion unique de transformer nos villes en lieux plus résilients, plus équitables et plus agréables à vivre, et ce, à chaque décision en matière de climat.
Notre travail environnemental porte sur la transition vers des villes « net zéro », sur la préparation des villes à la migration climatique et, plus récemment, sur l’intégration de solutions fondées sur la nature pour atteindre les objectifs mondiaux en matière de climat et de biodiversité. Dans nos efforts vers la réalisation de l’ODD n°11 (Faire en sorte que les villes et les établissements humains soient ouverts à tous, sûrs, résilients et durables), nous veillons à ce que les considérations environnementales soient intégrées dans tout ce que nous faisons.
