NewCities Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai Roads and Transport Authority

Los Angeles, California — November 17, 2017. The NewCities Foundation and the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding at LA CoMotion, the global conference bringing together the world’s leading innovators, thinkers, and entrepreneurs on urban mobility solutions from November 15-19, 2017 in Los Angeles.
NewCities and RTA agree to collaborate on new research to better understand how mobility and transportation systems work in Dubai so that other global cities can learn from it — and vice versa.
H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said: “The MoU between the RTA and NewCities provides for enhancing cooperation on future studies, initiatives and projects related to mobility in Dubai and providing data that can help in conducting studies as agreed by the two parties. It also calls for sharing knowledge related to the future of mobility and taking part in events held by NewCities.”
“The MoU enhances RTA’s benefits from studies relating to the future of mobility directly or indirectly, and connects the RTA with global organizations and entities conducting futuristic studies, and sharing knowledge about the future of mobility in the world.”
